Nickname(s)?: Becca, Becky, Becker, Beccala, Beck [pretty much anything that has 'Bec' in it.]
Age: 15 but I turn 16 September 12th.
Occupation: A teenager. Seriously. I should get paid for this. The shit we go through.
Strengths: I care a lot. I have a big heart, well, I've been told. I don't like seeing people hurt, so I defend the underdog. I see beauty in things that people just pass by and look at. I can think of witty comebacks easily. I'm not afraid to express emotion, so I think people see me as easy to talk to. I get passionate about stuff I love.
Weaknesses: I care a lot. Which means I'm pretty sensitive and the smallest thing can hurt my feelings. Trying to work on that. I care what people think about me, so my confidence is a little low. I act on impulse which means I often regret stuff I do. I can have a major pity party for myself and soak in it for a few days. I just think a little too much sometimes.
3 Favorite Books: Harry Potter [duh], Confessions of a Shopaholic series and...Uh...I guess the Princess Diaries series. I'm a nut for sappy chick flicks. :)
3 Favorite Movies: Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. I'm not too much of a movie buff. If it's got a cute plot, I like it. But I can recite Dirty Dancing 2 word for word. :)
3 Favorite Musicians/Bands: Again, not very picky. I do love Imogen Heap though. Biggg fan of her. And I'm really starting to...I guess I can tell you what musical genre I like. It has to have a pretty beat. Thoughtful words. And I have to relax to it. Depends on my mood.
3 Heroes: My mom because she's been to hell and back and lived, Maya Angelou because I've always admired her persistence and passion, and Rupert Grint because he bought an ice cream truck!
Describe yourself in 3 Words: Giggly, Thoughtful, Stubborn
Introvert or Extrovert?: More introvert. I have fun by myself and I'm definetely more laid-back but I won't say no to a nice night out with my friends.
Hard Worker or Layabout (or somewhere in between)?: Somewhere in between. I'd rather have you do my chores for me but when push comes to shove, I step up and take charge. I won't fail.
Are you the leader type?: Kinda? I don't like the pressure of everything on you but I feel more comfortable with me in charge.
Are you adept at raising others' spirits?: Yeah. :) I know what to say to someone who feels bad.
Do you consider yourself popular?: Not really. I'm not that well-known, but the people who know me like me. So I'm not hated or anything. I just stick to myself most of the time.
People who first meet you probably think you are: Very shy and quiet. I have that weakness of caring what people think of me. But trust me--I can definetely be loud and outgoing once when you get to know me. I have to feel comfortable around you.
How do you handle high-pressure situations?: I get flustered. But I manage.
Are you self-motivated, or do you rely on the encouragement of others?: The second. I like compliments. :) But I don't spend my time begging for them. I just like a little helpful push from others.
Do you work through unpleasant situations for your own satisfaction, or to prove yourself to others?: Both? I want to prove to myself and to everyone that I can handle anything life throws me.
:: DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION RELATED QUESTIONS ::
Favorite Degrassi character? Why?: Emma. I don't know why, I think I just related to her personally. I shared some of her views and opinions. And I definetely understood the pressure of being on a pedestal. Everyone considered her the goody-two shoes without knowing her and inside, she was just as vulnerable and insecure as everyone else.
Favorite Episode/Part/Scene? Why? I know it sounds creepy but the scene where Hazel looks at Jimmy's seat to see he wasn't there after the shooting. It was the first moment I actually had chills go down my spine. Just writing it makes me get goosebumps.
Which character do you most relate to, personally? Why?: Lol. Emma. Explanation up above. ^^
Do you have a favorite Degrassi quote? Please share: I have sooo many. But
"Being an idiot is ok sometimes."- Spinner Mason
Well said, Spinner. Well said. :D
I you could do one thing over spring break with your Degrassi pals, what would it be? Dream big!: Um, spend every friggen moment with them. Raid the girls closets. Make out with Daniel Clark. Marry him!
When you graduate, the first thing you're going to do is: Go on a roadtrip. Even if it's just me and not our big group we have planned right now, I'm doing my list.
